The Legacy exists to equip those that are serious about being disciples of Christ to make disciples for Christ.

The Legacy targets a primarily young adult urban audience through diverse ministers and affordable registration.

The Legacy facilitates holistic discipleship through general sessions and over 80 workshops from subjects such as Disciple-Making, Biblical Manhood, Biblical Womanhood, Evangelism, Hermeneutics, Community Impact Ministry, Basic Bible Doctrines and more.

The Legacy promotes life on life relationships through the call to make disciples in our neighborhoods and the nations.

The Legacy encourages application of the knowledge that is acquired through our Legacy Fest Outreach at the conclusion of the conference.

The Legacy Conference was birthed in August 2007 to invest primarily in urban youth and young adults who desire to grow as disciples of Christ and make disciples for Christ. Presently, our three-day, annual conference takes place in the heart of downtown Chicago at the historical Moody Bible Institute. This past Legacy Conference attracted 1,800 people from over 35 states and 3 different countries. We have truly seen how the Legacy Conference is used by God to have exponential impact on the urban culture of America and beyond.

Our vision is to have a Legacy Conference within driving distance of each major city. Currently, we are planning for The Legacy LA, which will be a one day conference that consist of general sessions, 15-20 workshops, and an evening concert.

Core values

Sola Scriptura (By Scripture Alone) Sola scriptura is the teaching that the Bible is the only inspired and authoritative word of God, is the only source for Christian doctrine, and is accessible to all.

Sola Fide (By Faith Alone) Sola fide is the teaching that justification (interpreted as, “being declared right by God”), is received by faith only, without any mixture of or need for good works, though saving faith is always evidenced by good works.

Sola Gratia (By Grace Alone) Sola gratia is the teaching that salvation comes by God’s grace or “unmerited favor” only — not as something merited by the sinner. This means that salvation is an unearned gift from God for Jesus’ sake.

Solus Christus (Christ Alone) Solus Christus is the teaching that Christ is the only mediator between God and man, and that there is salvation through no other.

Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone) Soli Deo gloria is the teaching that all glory is to be due to God alone, since salvation is accomplished solely through His will and action — not only the gift of the all-sufficient atonement of Jesus on the cross but also the gift of faith in that atonement, created in the heart of the believer by the Holy Spirit.
