Missie Branch — Discipleship: God’s Design for Gospel Impact
Workshop Description: Discipleship: God’s Design for Gospel Impact

Discipleship is not a program—it’s a relationship designed by God to shape lives and multiply faith. This session explores how Jesus intentionally formed disciples. Drawing from Scripture and connecting discipleship to leadership, sound doctrine, and everyday faithfulness we will challenge believers to steward their influence and invest in others for lasting gospel impact.

Omar Jackson — Legacy University - When God Feels Distant: Spiritual Rhythms for The Distracted Disciple
Workshop Description: Legacy University - When God Feels Distant: Spiritual Rhythms for The Distracted Disciple

In seasons of spiritual dryness, when God feels distant and prayer or Scripture feels difficult, it can be easy to drift into distraction, discouragement, or simply going through the motions. This workshop will explore how spiritual disciplines help keep Christ at the center when our hearts feel scattered or our faith feels routine. Together, we will consider how practices such as Scripture, prayer, worship, fasting, confession, and community are not rigid checklists or ways to earn God’s love. They are grace-filled rhythms that shape our desires, strengthen our faith, and form us into faithful disciples who continue drawing near to Christ in every season.

Nathan John — Innovation in Ministry: Reaching People Who Aren’t Looking for Church
Workshop Description: Innovation in Ministry: Reaching People Who Aren’t Looking for Church

What if the burden God placed on your heart is actually the beginning of a movement? In this interactive workshop, Nathan will explore how a God-given burden can become a vision, an actionable idea, and ultimately a movement that reaches people with the Gospel. Drawing from his journey starting Houston Magnify, participants will learn practical frameworks for identifying what breaks their heart, understanding who they are called to reach, and turning conviction into action. Through guided exercises and collaboration, you’ll begin developing something you can actually take beyond the conference and put into practice. Think Go-To-Market Strategy, but for Jesus.

Josh & Paulina Miller — Roommates Back to Soulmates
Workshop Description: Roommates Back to Soulmates

There is a church in Revelation 2 that is doing everything right, faithful, working hard, and Jesus still pulls them aside and says they lost their first love. Josh and Paulina have sat with that passage a lot because it describes a lot of marriages they know, including moments in their own. They will walk through what it actually looks like when a relationship goes from on fire to just clocking in, and the three things they have learned to do to get it back: remember, reprioritize, reignite.

Bobby Herring — From Calling to Assignment: Living on Mission Where God Already Placed You
Workshop Description: From Calling to Assignment: Living on Mission Where God Already Placed You

Young adults often spend years trying to “find their purpose” while overlooking the people and environments God has already placed in front of them. This workshop will help participants understand the difference between having a calling and embracing daily assignments from God. Drawing from real experiences in urban ministry, discipleship, prison outreach, youth mentorship, athletics, and community transformation, Tre-9 will challenge attendees to stop waiting for platforms and start living missionally in their schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, gyms, and relationships. Participants will walk away with practical tools for identifying opportunities for disciple-making in everyday life and learn how small acts of obedience can lead to lasting Kingdom impact.

Chinasa Emenaha — Apologetics in a Digital Age: Balancing Public Defense and Private Discipline
Workshop Description: Apologetics in a Digital Age: Balancing Public Defense and Private Discipline

A workshop on maintaining spiritual discipline while engaging constantly with debates, social media, and online audiences. Discussion includes the dangers of pride, constant argumentation, shallow study habits, and emotional exhaustion, along with practical ways to remain grounded in prayer, scripture, silence, and consistent personal devotion.

Liz Steckel — Positioned for Purpose: Leveraging your wiring and location to Make Disciples
Workshop Description: Positioned for Purpose: Leveraging your wiring and location to Make Disciples

God has intentionally wired you and strategically placed you for a purpose. In this breakout, we’ll explore how your identity, gifts, experiences, and current season can become part of the way you faithfully make disciples right where He has you. You’ll learn to recognize how God has wired you, understand where He has positioned you, and embrace the opportunities already in front of you. Come ready to discover how ordinary obedience in your everyday influence can become part of an extraordinary Kingdom purpose.

Carlos Rebollar — Discipleship Around the Table
Workshop Description: Discipleship Around the Table

Recovering belonging, presence, and mission as practices of authentic discipleship

What if some of our deepest formation as disciples doesn't happen on a Sunday

morning, but around tables, on the block, and through ordinary life together? This

workshop explores how authentic, missional discipleship is formed through practices of

presence, hospitality, mutual care, and shared meals among our neighbors. Drawing

from the life and ministry of Jesus and the table-shaped community of the early church,

we’ll consider how discipleship moves beyond simply transferring Christian information

toward becoming a people who embody the way of Jesus together. We’ll also explore

La Mesa del Barrio, an emerging neighborhood experiment in Houston’s Segundo

Barrio, as a living case study—not a finished model—in creating spaces of belonging

among people from all walks of life: from those who are rooted in faith, to those

doubting, curious, or somewhere in between. Participants will leave with practical questions and practices for cultivating more relational, embodied, and neighborhood-

rooted forms of discipleship in their own contexts.

Omar Castillo — The Cost of Being a Disciple
Workshop Description: The Cost of Being a Disciple

Jesus never hid the cost of following Him. Throughout the Gospels, He calls His disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross daily, and give Him their highest allegiance - above family ties, possessions, personal ambitions, comfort, and even self-preservation. This workshop will explore Luke 9:23 and Luke 14:25-33 to understand what Jesus meant by counting the cost and why surrender is central to biblical discipleship. Participants will examine the things that can compete with the lordship of Christ and consider what costly obedience looks like in everyday life, while distinguishing biblical surrender from neglecting legitimate responsibilities to family and others. Through Scripture, reflection, and practical application, participants will identify areas they need to place fully under Jesus' authority and learn how to help others do the same. The goal is to recover a vision of discipleship in which Jesus is not simply added to our lives - He becomes Lord of them.
